I will review the White Oaks Restaurant, which is located at 777 Cahoon Road, Westlake,OH 44145. I plan on visiting the restaurant on Thursday, November 29, 2012.
I viewed the menus on line for the lounge, which was moderately priced and the restaurant itself was pricey.
The history of the restaurant I found to be very interesting. It was involved in the prohibition fiasco. White Oaks augmented its celebrated cuisine by dispensing forbidden spirits, not of boot legging whiskey made in the back woods, but authentic wares of distillers in Canada, Scotland, and France, in other words high-end alcohol products. This restaurant was also guilty of gambling. It’s colorful past interested me.
I selected this restaurant for the simple fact that I heard about its good food and would go by myself and treat myself for I don’t know anyone who would splurge like me. I was due for a treat and this was going to be my Christmas present to myself.
This restaurant was reviewed by Yelp. Good for dinner. Alcohol: full bar. Noise level: normal. Ambience: Romantic, Intimate. Good for kids: No. Good for Groups: yes. Attire: Dressy, (when I called they told me casual.) Wi-Fi: No Has TV: No. Waiter service: Yes. Parking: Private Lot.
I plan on rating this restaurant by price of menus, atmosphere, taste of food, noise level, décor and history.
I plan on making an appearance to the White Oaks Restaurant Thursday evening, November 29, as I have driven by the place numerous times and thought I would like to go there. It has a cozy, quaint white appearing building. I have notice lots of oak trees on the property. It appears to be in a rugged outdoorsy setting but not like a log cabin. Parking lot is paved, so I don’t have to worry about damaging my shoes. I am looking forward to this review venture.
